Fees, Refunds & Refund Policy
Road Test Fee: $70.00 ($100.00 during extended hours, weekends, and holidays)
Vehicle Rental Fee: $50.00
Appointment Reschdule/Cancellation Fee: $35.00
We accept cash, money orders, and credit cards.
The road test takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour to complete.
NOTICE:
ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. ALL CANCELLATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO A $35 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE. RESCHEDULING AND CANCELLATIONS ARE TREATED SEPARATELY. NO-SHOW = LOSS OF ALL FEES.
1. No-Refund Policy
All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated.
No refunds shall be issued for:
· Failure of any portion of the Basic Control Skills Test or Road Test
· Failure to provide required documentation
· Use of a non-compliant vehicle
· Vehicle/equipment issues involving applicant-provided or rented vehicles
· Failure of any test portion while using a rented vehicle
2. Limited Refund Exception
A refund applies only if a test cannot be completed due solely to verified mechanical failure of a vehicle owned and provided by A & M Driver Testing, not caused or contributed to by the applicant.
3. Vehicle Rental Fees
All rental fees are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstance, including failure, cancellation, no-show, or inability to test.
4. Cancellation Policy
All cancellations, regardless of timing, are subject to a $35 non-refundable fee.
5. Rescheduling Policy
· Rescheduling is free only if requested more than 24 hours before the appointment.
· Rescheduling within 24 hours may be treated as a cancellation and is subject to a $35 fee at the discretion of A & M Driver Testing.
· All rescheduling must be made by phone and confirmed by staff.
6. No-Show Policy
Failure to appear for a scheduled appointment, including late arrival beyond the grace period, results in forfeiture of all fees and requires full payment to rebook.
7. Arrival & Grace Period
A 10-minute grace period is allowed. Arrival beyond this time may result in cancellation and forfeiture of all fees.
8. Vehicle Inspection
All vehicles are subject to inspection. If a vehicle fails inspection, the applicant may rent a vehicle if available within the grace period. Otherwise, the appointment is considered a no-show.
9. Standby Testing
Standby testing is not guaranteed and is only available if a slot becomes open due to cancellation or no-show.
10. Acknowledgment
By booking or paying, the applicant agrees to all terms of this policy.

Minors
If you are a minor and you have had your Level 1 Learners License for 180 days (6 months), completed at least 50 hours (40 daytime plus 10 night) of parental observation driving, and have received your Segment 2 driver education certificate, you are eligible to take the road test. If you are a minor, you must bring a valid Level 1 Learners License, Segment 2 Certificate, Driving Log, and picture identification. Your parent or guardian MUST be present during the road test.
Adults
If you are an adult and have had your Temporary Instructors Permit for at least 30 days or the Secretary of State has stamped your permit waiving the 30 days, you are eligible to take the road test. Adults MUST bring a valid Temporary Instructors Permit and picture identification. If you are an adult, no passengers other than yourself and the road test examiner will be allowed in the vehicle during the road test.
Vehicle Used For Testing
If you will be testing in your own vehicle, you must bring current proof of insurance and vehicle registration. Your vehicle must be road worthy. This means that the brakes and brake lights must work, including the brake light on the rear windshield or the center of the trunk. Your horn, speedometer, front and rear turn signals, and seat belts must be in proper working condition. Your rearview mirror and outside left mirror must be in tact. There must be seats for all occupants and your tires cannot be missing more than one (1) lug on the entire vehicle.
